El Salvador has once again made an extremely bullish move by adding 80 Bitcoins to its holding. The 80 coins were purchased at an average price of $19,000, as per the Twitter post from Nayib Bukele, the President of the Central American country.
El Salvador, after adopting Bitcoin(BTC) as legal tender in September 2021, continues its streak of purchases with another 80 coins. Since then, the Central African Republic has also adopted Bitcoin(BTC) as legal tender.
How Much Bitcoin(BTC) Does El Salvador Have?
The last purchase was announced by Bukele on May 9 when the country purchased 500 Bitcoins at an average price of $30,744.
According to the data tracked by Bloomberg, after the purchase of 500 BTC, El Salvador had a total of 2,301 Bitcoins. Now, with the newest purchase, the nation currently holds 2381 BTC which based on the current price of $19,411 amount to $46.2 million.
The nation’s first purchase was the most expensive when it bought 420 BTC at a price of $60,300.
The Biggest Bitcoin(BTC) Bulls Keep Buying
Interestingly, El Salvador is not the only entity to buy Bitcoin(BTC) this week. MicroStrategy also purchased an additional 480 bitcoins for an average price of $10.0 million per coin. They now hold a total of 129,699 Bitcoins acquired at an average price of $30,664 per coin.
