El Salvador has awarded the first 40 students with Bitcoin(BTC) diplomas which can be obtained within one day and require to study a short blue textbook.

After adopting Bitcoin(BTC) as legal tender in September 2021, El Salvador under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele is taking a major step toward educating their citizens on Bitcoin(BTC).

Around 40 high school students from the Ignacio Pacheco Castro institution in El Salvador received a diploma that certifies their knowledge of Bitcoin(BTC), as per reports from local media outlets.

With this development, the educational center located in San Marcos, a municipality in the department of San Salvador, becomes the first in the country to introduce teaching about the leader of cryptocurrencies.

The pilot project was led by the NGO “My First Bitcoin(BTC)” which aims to bring bitcoin education to the entire population of El Salvador.

“From the beginning, we were very clear that we would work with children between the ages of 17 and 20, so we set out to teach with simple language, designing an interactive study plan, including activities and some games,” said Raúl Guirola, a professor at the NGO.

The diploma is a 10-week course and awards students with a Bitcoin(BTC) diploma. Interestingly, 84 copies of “Diplomado En Bitcoin(BTC)” by the NGO were first delivered to all the members of the Asamblea Legislativa and then distributed to every student in El Salvador.

The Central American nation continues to promote Bitcoin(BTC) across the world and has set examples for other nations to follow. Recently, central bankers from over 44 countries were present in El Salvador where they learned how to use Lightning Wallets.
